NATURE OF THE CASE: An appeal from a decision that invalidated state regulation under the Due Process Clause that prohibited Blacks from public school facilities.

FACTS: The Petitioners, primary grade students, were denied admission into Caucasian- populated elementary school because they were Black. The Petitioners sued to gain admission. The District Court of Columbia dismissed the complaint. The U.S. Supreme Court reversed the decision and remanded the matter for further hearing.
