DOBBS' CASE

2 East, P.C. 513 (1770).

NATURE OF THE CASE: This was a trial for burglary.

FACTS: Dobbs (D) broke and entered a part of the dwelling house of another to cut the sinews of the foreleg of a horse. Injuring a horse was a misdemeanor. The horse died. Killing a horse was a felony. D was charged with burglary.
