NATURE OF THE CASE: This was an appeal from convictions obtained from a joint trial.
FACTS: Ds were charged with transportation in interstate commerce of goods known to be stolen with a value in excess of $5,000. Different Ds were charged on different counts but they were all tied together with a charge alleging conspiracy to commit the substantive offenses charged. Ds were all tried in one trial and on Ds motion, the conspiracy charge was dismissed for lack of proof. Ds were found guilty of all the substantive charges. Ds appealed.
