NATURE OF THE CASE: This was a dispute over the ability of a court to issue domestic
protection decrees if the parties have agreed to a provision prohibiting harassment of each
other.
FACTS: W and H's dissolution decree contained a no harassment provision. The trial court
still issued a domestic violence protection order. This appeal resulted. The court of
appeals ruled that the order was unnecessary. This appeal resulted.
