NATURE OF THE CASE: This was a dispute over an increase in property valuation for taxation purposes.
FACTS: Bi-Metallic (P) objected to a new increase in valuation of property in that he was not given an opportunity to be heard. P sued the State Board of Equalization and the Colorado Tax Commission from putting into force an order to increase property valuations forty percent. The State Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuit. The Supreme Court granted certiorari.
