McKEIVER V. PENNSYLVANIA

403 U.S. 528 (1971).

NATURE OF THE CASE: This was an appeal from a juvenile delinquency proceeding.

FACTS: McKeiver (D) was a juvenile. D was accused of participating in robbery, larceny, and receiving stolen goods. The judge denied D's request for a jury trial and convicted D of being a juvenile delinquent. D appealed. The state supreme court affirmed. The Supreme Court granted certiorari.
