NATURE OF THE CASE: Dapp (P) appealed a summary judgment for Larson (D) in P's slip and fall personal injury action.
FACTS: While visiting D in her capacity as a home health aide, P sustained injuries when she fell down the front steps of D's residence. Upon landing at the bottom of the stairs, P noticed that the brown plastic doormat that had been on the porch was laying on the bottom step and the sidewalk. P sued D and D moved for summary judgment and it was granted. P appealed.
