O'BUCK V. COTTONWOOD VILLAGE CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC. 750 P.2d 813 (Alaska, 1988) CASE BRIEF

O'BUCK V. COTTONWOOD VILLAGE CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC.
750 P.2d 813 (Alaska, 1988)
NATURE OF THE CASE: This was a dispute over antenna reception.
FACTS: O' Buck (P) bought a condo and loved to watch TV. P had four televisions and had the option of a roof antenna and an antenna based cable system called Visions. The roof antennas were causing severe damage to the roofs and eventually it cost the association $155,000 to repair the problems. The Board then adopted a rule that no more antennas were permitted; a hook up fee to Visions was offered for free and the Board paid for the depreciated value of any antennas taken down. P was unhappy because it would cost $10 per month per TV to hook up his other 3 TVs. P sued D.
